Did 8:1 today really pleased and feel I am getting on quite well now, particularly when I look back to W1:1 and realise how far I’ve come. But and it is a big BUT no way am I going to finish W9:3 running 5k anybody else have this problem.

Most people! It’s more about running for 30 mins non stop than 5k. That will come after. Don’t worry. 😊

It’s fine! I graduated weeks ago and still can’t run 5k in 30 minutes and tbh I doubt I ever will but I just like running along and the feeling when I finish (which lasts all day) is worth every minute of running 😃 good luck with week 9, just enjoy it and don’t worry about how far or how long it’s taken you 😀

Likewise, graduated weeks ago, nowhere near 5k in 30 mins. Roughly 43 mins is my guess, but I can’t run for that long yet either!

All that matters is three 30 minute runs within 7 days. Keep going!

Yes ... don't worry about it.

Few people get to 5k in 9 weeks, as long as you can run for 30 mins it won't take you long to increase your running time and distance.

Well done for getting to W8, you're nearly there!

Keep up the good work ... happy running!

An update: my final “graduation” run of W9 was 3.37k, nowhere near 5k.

I then started building up one run a week until my third run of the third consolidation week was 5k run in just over 43 mins.

That was my choice - I wanted to reach that distance. Your choices may be completely different.

That’s really interesting thanks for update. It’s good to know how other people are doing. I am going to do the same as you and my next challenge will be to improve and do that 5k in 30 mins. Got to finish week 9 yet though!

As with all your replies, most of us don't get to that mythical 5k in 30 mins. You're doing just amazingly as you get towards the end of C25k. Be so proud of yourself for what you have achieved, you got off the couch 😎
