worrying over week 3

hi, just finished my third week 2 run which was difficult although had better runs on the first 2 week 2 runs (sorry it's so confusing with all the numbers!) but now super worried for week 3 as 3 minutes running sounds so long! (I know for many people it's nr and I sound super unfit but my stamina is not high!) and then have been browsing ahead and seeing 5 minute runs in week 4 has panicked me! can anyone advise as to how big a step it is? which week was the biggest step up for people? not feeling in a great mood as was super excited this morning for the run and then it didn't go so well and I'm feeling disheartened :(

I had this problem this week as my runs went from 8mins to 20mins in one go!! I found that if I went a bit slower then it was easier to get through it. I can pick up speed later after week 9! It was more of a mental problem this week with me not believing I could do it, but when I did my body was fine (and I'm tipping the scales at over 15 stone at the moment!!) My tip would be just don't rush. It's about endurance rather than speed. Good luck!

I asked about this and the thing everyone has come back with is to slow your pace. Having spoken with others on here it seems that the jump (while it sounds terrifying) isnt too bad in reality. I'm off to do my first run for week 3 tonight. I'll let you know how it goes!

It did go well thank you! Not as hard as expected.

Have you gone for yours? How did you do?

Hi, just take it very very slowly. No-one’s going to worry about how fast you go, and neither should you. 👍

Just take your time and you’ll get there. Keep in touch with everyone on here - you’ll find loads of support and encouragement. Good luck with your next run. 😀🤞
