Can't quite believe I'm writing this but only 1 Run to go in the plan!
I'm planning to do my graduation run on Monday morning just before I head off on holiday so I'll be able to have a good celebration after.
W9R1 was a hard one not due to the distance but because of the route. I was struggling to fit in the run due to a childcare miscommunication with the husband so I decided to run back from dropping my daughter of at nursery. The only problem with this is it was later in the day than I normally run and hence hotter and also it's mainly pavement running. As someone used to running on paths I'm not used to having to dodge so many people or take account of crossing roads/traffic. It also had much steeper hills on the route than I'm used to dealing with. I dug deep and completed the full run time but it wasn't fast or easy.
In contrast W9R2 I was back on my usual paths early in the morning with a cool breeze and the start of rain in the air. Amazing run. I was still tired afterwards but I ran much further and kept up a much better pace.
Looking forward to my graduation run on Monday.
