Planned to run/walk Parkrun this morning with my 13 year old son. He was not keen this morning! Left his expensive football boots (which he bought himself) on the bus Tuesday morning and whilst the driver told him they'd been handed in the depot don't have them and have no record of them
He's been upset about it all week and said last night he didn't want to run. Still moody this morning but after much badgering from me we got out there. I'm so glad I did persist because we had a really good time again and I'm sure he's in a much better mood now because of it. Unfortunately I managed to lose his barcode on the way round so he recorded with mine - have now ordered 2 snazzy wristband ones so it can't happen again.
He actually PB'd but surprisingly given his mood this morning took it very well. So we can add to the unexpected benefits of running - reducing moodiness in teenagers π
