Well week 9 run 3 complete but on reflection I was not happy with the run. Perhaps it was too hot or I had eaten a meal and not left enough time after to run. Really struggled for last 6 minutes and was nearly at standstill bearly walking. Only covered 2.7 miles. Was hoping for over that. Now that C25k completed going to do final run again but add 3 minutes on but only running 2 to 3 hours after I have eaten and hopefully not in same heat. On the whole I have been truly amazed in what I have done and will continue in my quest to run a 5k

First of all congratulations Tony in completing and graduation on C25K. Perhaps you should have ran it either earlier in the morning when the temperature is not so high or not ate just as much before your run. My graduation run of week 9 run 3 is in exactly a weeks time.

I agree on the eating before. I rarely run after food and it always feels tougher. 👍😁
Not got to week 9 yet (just completed week 5 and the first big run).
I always go out early in the morning, before breakfast. Not as hot, the park is much quieter, and no full feeling
Well done! Good or bad it all still counts. We can all learn more from the bad ones than the good. The important part is you are now a regular runner and you already have your next goal to aim for.
My final run wasn’t the Chariots-Of-Fire-style lap of honour I was hoping for either, and I have definitely enjoyed other runs more - maybe the pressure of doing *THE* Graduation Run is a bit overwhelming? 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️
Well done! The heat really affects my runs. I avoid the hottest parts of the day now.
