Well W9 R2 this evening went well again. Even though almost as soon as I started the run I developed a bit of a stitch I was able to keep going, and it disappeared after 10 mins or so. I knew I probably hadn't drunk enough water - always something I could do better at. Then I just got into a comfortable rhythm and enjoyed the feeling of the wind buffeting me and the ground moving past under my feet. The last few minutes were tougher but I was determined to keep the same pace, and even managed to speed up a little at the end.
Reading about some of the runs you all have been doing in the humidity and heat made me very grateful that the weather up here in the north east was fresher and cooler- otherwise I'd probably have been a pathetic melted ball of helplessness lying on the pavement. Hats off to you all!

I've been lucky so far that I've only had a stitch a couple of times, and both times fairly mild. I've realised I tend to eat if I get thirsty rather than drink- need to re-train my brain on that one! I am drinking more than I was. Cheers!
The Podium of Glory is just around the corner. Oldfloss will bring the fizzy booze and I've got the cake. All you need to do is trot slowly round the corner and get ready for all your running chums to hug you to bits!!
Thank you for the encouragement, and promise of fizzy booze and cake! The hugs will be the best part though :-). You aren't that far behind and then it will be my turn to bring the cake - think I'll need to bring a massive one for all your team
