I’ve hardly posted at all as I’ve been doing this, but I have done a lot of reading of all your posts and I just wanted to say thank you to you all for keeping me going, inspiring me and making me laugh! I’m feeling like a different person to when I started trying to run in August.
It’s come at a turning point in my life where I’ve left a job that was causing me lots of stress and started a university course, which has given me some more time for myself, my family and to think about what I want from my life, and keeping fit is definitely going to stay a part of that! 😊
Hoping to complete the last run on Friday morning! I sneakily did 5k this morning (I ran an extra three minutes) - do you think I’d be ready to start Bridge to 10K or should I just keep it steady for a while till I can run 5k in 30 mins?

Finish your Graduation run on Friday and then.. after the party...well.. so much to choose from
Consolidation is the name of the game for a couple of weeks... 30 minute runs... 5Ks if you are running that distance.. shorter routes, and longer runs too Change your routes too.. a shake up is good
If you check out the FAQ post for what is next.. there is a lot of advice there.
The good news is, you choose how you want to progress and when you head to Bridge to10K after Graduation, you will find you already know many of us there, and just as here, all ready to support and encourage you..
Wow, lots of changes for you, but sounds like you’re in a much better place, well done. I graduated in July and still can’t do 5k in 30 minutes, so I’m focusing on distance and have signed up for ju-ju’s 10k plan!
Thanks Sandie - I’m not sure I’m quite ready for juju’s plan yet - think I might spend a month or two getting comfortable with 5k and see how it goes - maybe after Christmas - it looks great! Let’s hope I can keep it all up in the meantime. Hope it goes well for you - good luck!
