On my last two 30 min runs, I have had pins and needles for the last 5 mins , does anyone else get this. I can just about manage to get to the end of the run, but was just thinking if I wanted to run longer, I couldn’t !!!! Thank you for any advice 😀

Yes me too sometimes. I have some fancy nike socks that are really tight and wondered if it was that. Changed socks and same thing happened. I loosened my laces on the last run and that seemed to help. Seems to be now I have no walk breaks. Maybe my feet are hitting the pavement too hard!

Loosen the laces... :) make sure you have comfy socks too...!

A;so, there are some great exercises for our feet... it is easy to neglect our best asset.:)

Also... really focus on landing lightly.. be aware of not thumping down ( not saying that you do thump ) I call it kissing the ground with your feet..L) I am aware, particularly on my longer runs that I sometimes have a, thump, phase and have to just remind myself to land gently:)

It does work... and weirdly, it can, in the longer runs give you a bit of a boost:)

My feet (particularly the right one) go numb about 20 mins in even with the walking. It gets so painful I tend to slow right down but do keep going. As soon as I stop and take off my trainers I’m fine. I tried relacing several ways but no joy yet. However yesterday I ran 25mins quite a bit faster than usual and only got a bit numb in last couple of mins. I may well have been too heavy footed before. Fingers crossed you sort out your problem.

Thank you, just hearing a similar story helps loads, I’m the same, as soon as the trainers come off, I’m ok.....so will try and be a little more light footed....thank you again. Happy running 😀
