Hi guys, I've just joined on here and have just done w3r1. I also tried a parkrun on Saturday (after checking I could walk most of it! I finished third from last so not too embarrassing!)
On the parkrun and yesterday on my first w3 run I got a kind of dead foot feeling. Like mild pins and needles. I didn't know what to do to make it go, so tried a combination of ankle circling and stretching my calf. Has anyone had this and know what to do? It started 20 mins in and did go after 5-7 mins but felt really weird (and very distracting!) Thanks!

Are your shoes too tight, or ill-fitting in any other way? Apparently it’s recommended to wear running shoes half a size (or more) larger than you would for normal ones as your feet spread whilst running.
Of course this may not be your issue, but might be worth a check? 😀
Your shoes maybe too tight, feet do swell when we run. Have a look at the lacing post by LoungeLizaard a couple of days ago, it shows different options that are "foot specific".
Thanks everyone, I did re-lace my trainers before the parkrun so maybe that's the most likely issue. I will loosen the left one off before I do my next run on Thursday. I appreciate all your quick responses! ☺️
I'm on wk2. I suffered with pins in my feet and tight ankles on the first runs of Wk1. I found a good stretching exercise on YouTube that helped with the ankles and seemed to reduce the pins and needles as well. I'll try losening my shoes next time too
