Graduated in a rainy deserted park!

I graduated this morning with a 40 min run. Don't feel elated but that's depression for you, overshadowing positive achievements. Just over 2 weeks now until my 5K Race for Life.

I graduated Sunday and was the same ( due to health) but it is still a positive achievement. Hopefully the endorphins from the running will kick in later and don’t give up - you have done so well to get this far.

Enjoy the afterglow and good luck for the Race for Life

I can only say bloody well done you, what a brilliant achievement. Have you read Jay66 post on here? about feelings this forum does to self esteem/confidence. You’re not alone, you might have run alone, but on this forum you’re not. Celebrate, you earned and deserve it. Please keep posting.👏🏻🥂

Congratulations, you have done brilliantly and deserve to enjoy your success. Depression - such a "pig" but we will hold your achievement in high regard until you are able to take it and smile. Let us know when the time is right. Big hugs and :)

Thank you. My twin didn't survive depression and I feel so sad not being able to share this with her on top of 'survivor' guilt.

You've just achieved something that most people will never achieve. It's hard and it takes determination, hard work and sweat to do it. And you've just done that!

Many congratulations to you and good luck for the race. Youre ready for it 🙂

One thing I've overcome dealing with depression is I can now accept compliments and not make excuses or shrug them off.

Take all these compliments, you alone have done this and bloody well done to you.

Brilliant, the prog is 30mins based I think but I think that is too high a target. Nowt wrong with 40. Big congrats

Thank you.

You have just completed an amazing programme which takes pure determination and hard work. You may not feel proud of that right now but we all are proud of you.

I'm sure you wasn't alone and that your twin was watching over you all the time.

Big hug goes out to you. I wish you well for the future and also for your race for life. You will do brilliantly. X

Well done you.

None of us know what you are feeling but lots of us have faced that dark monster and and know what black really looks like. It’s hard to cope with.

Whatever motivated you to keep doing each successive run in the programme and to keep on to the end of the longer runs will help you fight the darkness.

I wish you a peaceful mind and that the running helps let some light in x

Thank you. Hoping that the determination and focus I put into my running will help my day to day life in the long term.

I’m sure it will if you can let it be. Good luck with the struggle. It’s worth it when you are on the lighter side. Take care.

Congratulations! This is a massive achievement and well done you for doing race for life. I know from experience that depression is a dark place but think of the qualities you have that made you achieve this goal - motivation, determination, will power, stamina and above all, you are doing something positive for YOU. I hope you have a wonderful day basking in the knowledge you have graduated from C25K 😊

Congratulations for graduating 🏆🥇 I’m so sad for you that your achievements are overshadowed by darkness. I know how that feels & it sucks not to be able to feel the happiness that others feel. You sound like you’ve been through so much with your twin. Big hugs to you and when you’re ready to celebrate your success we’ll be here for you x
