Started week 8 today . Had a lovely run. Well plod really. But have to say found it quite good after the 1st 10 mins. Can't really believe I can run 28 mins . Week 1 seems like yesterday when I thought I'm never going to get to the end. But nearly there. To anyone just starting out go slow and believe in yourself and you will do it

Well done you! Yes those first 10 minutes are tough aren't they, then it's easier to get into a comfortable running rhythm after that. Almost there now... Just 5 runs to graduation!! 😃

Well done you :)

Sounds very similar to my own experience with w8r1 yesterday - seemed to take ages to get going, was astonished when Jo said "5 minutes", it felt like it had been much longer than that, and then somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes I hit my stride (it was a bit like welcoming back an old friend!) and after that I relaxed into it, with a lowish heart rate and regular breathing pattern, and it felt like I could keep going at that pace for ever.

Well done. I'm on week 7 run 3 tonight. Still plodding along my own pace but amazing that I can run for 25 minutes when on week 1 I struggled with a minute run. Only doing around 2 miles in that period. I reckon a full 5k would take at least 40 minutes
