Undignified end to week 8!

Well that was a somewhat undignified end to week 8 run 3! I'd just completed the 28 mins running with my shiny new birthday present strapped to my wrist (still figuring out how it works though) and was feeling very excited and happy. Then as I was half way through the warm down walk - a bird pooed on my nose!

Of course I didn't have any tissues with me, and then I inhaled a small fly which got stuck and triggered a massive sneezing fit. So I ended up walking the last bit to my house through the grounds of the student hall of residence I live opposite, bright pink, sweaty, nose streaming, sneezing incessantly, scrubbing at my nose with a convenient leaf I'd managed to find, convinced I still had a dollop of bird poo on the end of it. And to cap it all off, the students were having some kind of art class- there was a bunch of them arranged outside one building with their easels, and I ended up having to walk and sneeze right through the scene they were painting. They probably think I'm some kind of nutter. Oh well!

Next time- bring tissues....

Who knew the hazards would be so varied? Am a little nervous as to what week 9 will have in store... Maybe I should buy a hat for protection

It was probably jealous. These things happen.

And it's supposed to be good luck when birds crap on you. Fingers crossed that you avoid another Extreme Performance Art moment for a few days tho

Glad to have provided some entertainment I was convinced my nose had tuned fluorescent green from the leaf too... turned out it was just bright pink once I'd got home
