I've not posted in a while but I have been steadily working my way through the program and have surprised myself with how far I've come. Week 5 Run 3 was a huge mental win for me as in my mind there was no way I could run for 20 mins. I put my faith in the program as so many others have and not only did I manage it but I had enough energy left at the end of the 20 minute run to let out a massive victory whoop and jump completely surprising all the commuter cyclists and sedate dog walkers on my route.
Today mentally felt like a step backwards for me as every other run has felt like a progression forwards where as after running a full 20 minutes going back to 5 and 8 minute runs felt mentally like I wasn't making any progression. Due to this I decided to up my pace slightly (still a slow jog in reality but a slightly faster slow jog) so as I felt like I was improving on something. And ended the run feeling tired but happy.
Massive thanks to all of you for posting your progress it really has kept me motivated and on track.

I was on this too...and I found it difficult for the first part...then everything started to warm up..and it became a bit better. Good luck for rest of week
We did the exact same. Thought since it's not a long run we have no excuse to go too slow. We hit a personal best and overall improved too. Will not be keeping that pace up for the next one though. Feeling it now!
