Have just given myself a nice long week off and went out this evening. Ran for 32 minutes but it was hard. I was tired as not slept last night and with breastfeeding and carrying toddler today was dehydrated so I know why it was difficult. It always dehydration with me and achy joints that I fail to stretch because of time limitations when I am not running. I also find it harder running just before my period, anyone else notice that?
On a damn good note, I'm beginning to look very different, saddlebags are going and an amazing waist has appeared after two kids. So excited that I bought myself a fresh cream cake today, first time in about 10 years!! XX
Next run will track my distance as still no idea how far I am going.xx

You do amazingly.... I know how hard it must be for you.. my own Little Mama ( daughter) is proof of it
You went out and you ran... but, you must take care of you... these small ones are draining (even though they are wonderful) I know after just two days each week caring for our small runner in training (18 mints old) I feel like I have had a great work out
Hydrate well all the time... keep a bottle of water to hand always Try too, and I know it is tricky to get some kind of stretch routines in... even try some of the mama and Babe exercises, like these maybe
A huge well done to you, and just for now, forget distance...just be, oh so proud, you are out there doing it... I, and we think you are totally brilliant xx
You are a star! thank you for this link - I will try to have a go.XX I will start taking water with me. Im not that fussed about distance but next step is to work up to 5km. How long to consolidate 30 mins before I measure? Thanks for the kind words you are such a support. I'm so excited about this next stage. xx
My daughter drinks loads of water.. all the time.. she is still breast feeding although Babe is eating well too ( Baby led weaning has meant she is a great little eater:))
Try some different routes..maybe a short, and a couple of 30 mins... for another week, then if you feel ready ,you could try the C25K+ podcasts.. they are challenging but useful.. and will help with moving on.. have you checked this post out too?
Thats great advice thank you. Yes I baby led weaned both my boys its incredible. My older son eats anything and its great having breast milk as a back up.
Yes having a short one and 2 longer sounds nice and will look into the podcasts. X Yes have checked out the post ...maybe need to do a different route and get more fun! X
Oh wow you’ve done great! I am so admiring if you! I need to get my arse into gear! I’d love to see my peri-menopausal waist whittle down! Need to get back into a regular routine and running is such a short time out of a day that I really ought to sort it out. Please keep posting - it’s very inspiring xx
Just do one run and the rest will follow. I am going to do 1 short ones and 2x 30 for the next few runs then start on the other podcasts on stamina etc. You can join me and we can spur each other on XX The peri menopausal waist will go. Its made a real difference to mine. I will probably stop breastfeeding then hit the menopause!! XXX
I’ve done it!! I faced my fear and thanks to you, after reading your post when I woke up this morning, I went out and did it! 30 mins. So thank you! And yes I’d really it if we could give each other a nudge to keep going. Have a great week! Xx
