First run post-grad finally!

So the day after graduating over two weeks ago we went away to Austria for a week. Got some amazing long walks done at altitude but kept thinking I wish I’d taken my trainers!

Last week though back at home, and back at work, I just couldn’t raise any energy to get out running and lost motivation a bit now I haven’t got the programme to follow. I did enjoy my lie-ins though.

But the last couple of days I’ve really wanted to get out again and so off I was at 7am this morning, running in the misty cloud. I used the last run of the c25k programme with Michael Johnson for a change and that was perfect as he doesn’t talk as much as Jo W does so just gave those short time updates which I needed. I couldn’t find my earphones 😰 so put my phone on LOUD in my arm holder instead and actually it was better than using my earphones as normally they start slipping out and get quite restrictive (I only have one in so I can listen out for cars).

So all in all a great run to get back on it!

Welcome home! I definitely think taking the running shoes 'everywhere' is the way to go.

I’m actually looking forward to some work trips I have coming up for a change of scenery! Glasgow in a couple of weeks and then a hotel just outside of Leeds 😀

completerunner-online.com search for 'Couch to 5K Tee Shirt'.

I got the link from here somewhere, but I forget where.

Welcome back👋

Well done on your first post-grad run despite the headphone mishap, at least it didn’t put a halt to your run, and you found a solution.

I take my trainers with me whenever we go away, it’s great to explore new places as well as not missing out on the running😍
