Such a difference from when I set off for work this morning I had at least 3 inches of snow on the car and a fair amount to contend with during my day but fortunately it was pretty much gone for my run.
I used the Samsung Health app running coach to update me at every mile and he also gave me total duration updates.
I found it odd without Sarah but certainly not as bad as I feared. I did my warm up to my usual tree and set off on my normal route. I stopped running just as my knees and thighs were really starting to feel the cold. Just as I rounded the corner on my warm down the man told me I'd done 4 miles. I think I did 5 mins extra with another small loop around one of the streets.
I managed my best time up our big hill which I'm pretty pleased with as I wasn't particularly pushing...just wanted up and over the hill.
I really wanted to get a pic of the snow covered South Downs but didn't want to stop and there were a lot of dog walkers and oddly felt self conscious for some reason.
Managed to snap this on the go. I trapped my finger in this gate Friday trying to shut it without slowing downπ lesson learned!
All in all I was pretty pleased with myself, for getting along without the c25k app, for getting out straight after work and for a decent effort.
Happy running everyone π

π€£ the first few times I went through it was open or held for me. Much easier. It's a bit useless... Doesn't keep anything in or out... just slows me down! But it's practice for when the weather is better as there's a lot of field routes round here. Take care on those grids! Awful things!
Not completely sure, firstly to keep it up 3 times a week.
Secondly to explore further afield and hopefully eventually extend to be able to run for up to an hour.
After that...dunno really. As the weather improves I'll be biking a lot more too so hoping the two activities see me getting even stronger and fitter for summer.
I suppose my main goal is not to give up, not to become demotivated and lazy. ππ
I know what you mean, I am already missing the structure the app provides with its reminders etc. Like you I will take to my bike more once the weather improves π²π
Just tried the C25K speed podcast - I liked it, lots going on, plenty of counting, timings etc. I guess the music might get you in the end! πββοΈ
