First post grad run, second parkrun.

Really enjoyed running in the cool morning and light drizzle today.

Kept a good pace all the way round so thought I'd be on target to shave a few seconds off last weeks pb. In the last 1k I pushed myself a bit to come in behind the 30 minute pacer and more than happy with that.

Got my results and the pacer must have been slightly fast as I achieved my first sub 30!! 29.52!

I was going to aim for that later in the year so I'm over the moon to get it today. 😁😁

The parkrun is flat and I'm used to hilly routes which I think has given me some good legs!

Happy running to all this weekend πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜

Thanks so much, feels like a natural progression so more proof that the programme works. 😁

Well done! Sub 30 is one of those mental barriers. Glad you did it. πŸ‘

Cheers, think the mental barrier is getting up early on a Saturday πŸ˜„

Wow, 29:52 is insane! I heard someone asking about pacers this morning but I don't think we had any - not that I'd have seen them for dust anyway!

Thanks, I don't think all parkrun events have pacers but it does give you something to focus on 😁

I think quite a a lot of parkruns have pacers, but not every week. My local one has pacers on the last Saturday of each month.
