Here I am not exactly sitting in a tin can, not on the couch either anymore BIG improvement! but since I graduated in April, I have been unsure of what’s next? where do I go from here? Did and still doing the 3x30 runs after graduating but my mojo has run out - where now? After the euphoria of actually completing this programme (I am the expert in starting all sorts of stuff and never finishing anything until now) but wow brilliant amazing programme/forum, I think I can probably achieve more, if you never try how will you know? I thought it might be great to do a 5 km for my significant June birthday, but thought that seeing as how a wise old snail said to me once slow and steady, I could do it, so today is the day the next challenge begins. Day 1, first day of 10km done.
PS its Mothers Day here tomorrow in the Antipodes, a day to remind some of us of what we no longer have. If you are lucky enough to still have your Mum, give her a hug, if you aren’t able, just ring her and tell her you love her, cos you can👩❤️👩
PPS off for scones at my daughters tomorrow. Don’t want to be provocative, but I’m with Mary Berry. Gone Lexi xx

Good luck with your new journey Lexi6, sounds like you now have a plan.
I too am originally from the Antipodes where my Mum still lives and I am very lucky to still have her (87 yrs). Phoned her this morning and told her just that. Have a great weekend !!
Happy mother’s day to you tomorrow. Like Lorijay I’m from the other side too, Perth WA. It sounds like you have a plan. I know exactly what you mean I’m almost dreading the end of this journey because I have learnt I need structure and little steps to succeed.
Ju Ju, our resident running machine, has a programme here called 10 is the magic number, which is free to join and you get a talkie bit by the lady herself
At the start and each week She’s very motivational and leads from the front
Get signed up. It’s over on the 10k community board. Hip over there 👉
Thank you, Perth is such a beautiful place, I am a 10 pound Pom from the 60’s and on our trip from Southhampton to NZ, we stopped in Perth, couldn’t believe how beautiful it was and is. I will carry on posting here, makes me accountable, wow you are so close now to graduating, love your posts and photos, thank you. 😀
I can see how it would be difficult after the structure of the programme to wonder what to do next. Have you done the stepping stones podcasts? Apparently they're quite fun - I'm looking forward to having a crack at them when i've finished up. Well done on continuing to get out there 3 times a week. xx
Hiya Dee, yes I tried the stepping stones one and was concentrating so much on Laura counting 1234 that (wash my mouth out with soap) got sick of her voice and turned her off and ran to my music instead Think I’m less concerned with speed and want to build more stamina I seem to run at 150 bpm anyway which is fine. Crikey hark at me 3 months ago that was a foreign language! How’s that heat? You coping?
Lol that still seems a foreign language to me! I haven't looked much at my stats yet (bpm, etc) - just happy to run for as long as I'm told. The fitness will come with time. But yeah, definitely good to have goals to work towards. Are there any local running groups, like the UK park run, just for some community? 10K is an awesome next step... can't even imagine it. You're amazing.
Just back from my run now. Heat nearly killed me today, just wasn't up for it but finished week 4. Happy bout that
Brilliant, good for you, well done on accomplishing week 4 you’re amazing to run in that heat. Yes, we’ve got a Park run about 10 minutes drive from here and funnily enough I registered with them yesterday, haven’t got my bar code yet, just waiting for the return email but it will be nice to run with other people around and not on my lonesome. I’m still pretty slow and will probably be yelling at their backs wait for meeeeeeeeeee!😢
