I've taken to listening to Chris Evans breakfast show on radio 2 while I run, I get bored with my own music and it's nice to have a fresh playlist. This morning I was unexpectedly inspired by the thought for today by Diane Louise Jordan & thought it might be appropriate to other c25kers out there.
She was inspired by the determination of an unnamed celebrity in a certain TV show who changed her attitude and went on to win more & more trials. Next day she set about her own training with a renewed vigour and progressed further than she'd ever believed possible of herself. Her trainer observed he trains minds not bodies.
She finished with the quote in my title by Gerald T Ford, as I trotted up a snow covered incline I reflected on how true this was for me in my own c25k journey. This time last year I wouldn't have believed I could run 7k and enjoy it as I now do 3 times a week. This programme has helped me achieve so much more than just fitness.
To anyone out there working their way through c25k know that if you believe in yourself you will do it.
