Wasn't really feeling it this morning! A busy bank Holiday weekend meant I felt tired before I even started and due to lots of walking/standing over the past couple of days my shins and ankles were a bit achy. But.....
I got my boyfriend to drop me down the seafront on his way to work so I could start my warm up walk at the Parkrun start. Turned at my halfway mark only about 100m from the Parkrun turn! Got back to the finish line by the end of the cool down walk.
It is a very fast course as it is an almost completely flat route along the seafront but I am still chuffed to bits that I went that far. Never ran in my life (used to walk at the back of cross country at school ) until 6 weeks ago.
This programme is amazing! Bring on the 25 min run!
Whatever you achieve this week happy running everyone - long may we continue to surprise ourselves x

Cool! Expect we've probably passed each other at some point. I'm the one who looks like I should be able to do it - built like Jessica Ennis-Hill but much older and with none of her sporting ability
First run through Bottle Alley this morning - I don't normally get that far! I only have what I term my "Field Phone" - some kind of Nokia brick - so no GPs problems for me. Just me and my interval timer x
That's brilliant! Well done you ! Wish I had a sea front to run along! We use a path on a disused railway line so it's quite flat too. We just have to dodge bikes!!
It's funny isn't it how you have a good run when you're not expecting to!
Luckily there's cycle lane here so no dodging needed! There was a disused railway near where I used to live - bet it's a lovely place to run.
The seafront here is very nice in the sunshine but there are a lot of homeless people and people with drink/drug problems here too. I always feel a little sad as I run past them to think what must have happened in their lives to get them to the point they're at
