I went out running after work yesterday and it was blowing a serious gale and peeing it down...I did think twice about going out but thought no I need to stick to my plan! I put on my thermals and headed out, the 5 min walk was horrible, I just wanted to start running so I could warm up, brrr!
Once I got going it was ok but my chest got tight after a few mins and had to take a puff on my inhaler but managed to finish the first run. I think after the 20min run the week before I was being a bit cocky and setting out too fast, by the 8 min run I was struggling and had to slow my pace down. I took longer to recover from that run so when Laura said ok get ready for the finial run I did groan but just told myself I had to do it. For once I managed a very brisk walk back to my flat as I was drenched by this stage. Got in and my flatmate looked at me like I had two heads...you went running in the rain?! Had a nice long shower and a creme egg to celebrate

Well done in completing your run and for braving the harsh elements, hope you enjoyed your egg, all the best for w6 r2. Hope the weather is a bit kinder to you.
I did w6 r1 this morning but at the moment I'm strictly a indoor runner so no rain for me! I found it harder than I thought it was going to be but I did it. Everyone I manage is another step forward. Enjoy your egg.
impressed with anyone that can go out in the rain. luckily for me it was dry when i was out at the crack of dawnn
I think a lot of us did exactly the same on this run...we tell ourselves we can do 20 minutes...8 is a breeze!
