Just completed w5 r1. Bit concerned about running for 8 mins followed by 20 mins in the following run!!! I'm struggling with the 5 min jogs. Any advice and tips would really be appreciated. Thank you.

I did W5 run 2 yesterday and didn't think i could run for 8 mins but i did! Im finding slower pace helps and i try to zone out with music. Not so sure about the 20 min run coming next though! Good luck ☺

Just finished w5r2 and first where I have felt sick 🤢 but didn’t think I could do it , agree about zoning out. I’m running on a treadmill and keep trying to mentally picture the roads outside 🏃‍♀️

You will be able to do it! I think we've all felt like that. Just run slow! And then slower if you need to. You will do it! Music helps me. Good luck!

I did the 8 minutes yesterday and really wasn’t as bad as I expected. Just start slowly and pace yourself :)

Just done wk5 r3 and I cant believe I did it and was actually easier than when I first had to run a minute. Had Netflix on whilst running- found this so much easier than music. You will be fine I promise- take it slow

Somehow managed the 2x8 mins this morning, really did struggle though, especially with the heat. 20 mins on wed. Will be getting up super early to miss the heat though.

Wise. My hot run was hard.

I'm due to do that one tomorrow. I agree with the music on & try to zone out if you can. Slowing down massively has helped me. I tend to go a bit Zebedee on speed! I'm on a treadmill too but the ones at my gym have a screen on them & you can chose to run through towns , woods, mountains, etc. For me it would be helpful if Laura didn't come in saying "you have 2.5 mins left" that just makes me think I can't do it. Give it a try. I have amazed myself so far. Never thought I would get this far. Good luck.

Everyone has said the key thing. Slow down.

I was dreading it just like you are. I’m now up to 25 minute runs and coping. I am not fit and have never been a runner. You can do this!
