Did this today, made myself go out in the hot weather because as usual I was trying to make all excuses not to go, it's too hot, i can't be bothered, I've not had enough sleep etc etc.

I did it but the last 5 minute run was so difficult. I'm worried looking at the app seeing that run 3 this week is 20 mins no stopping! Every run I do I start off thinking I can't do it, and so far I have managed every one, so why do I not have any faith in myself??!! Does anyone else feel like this?! When do you get to a point where you think, actually i can do this and be confident enough to know that you can!

Anybody else who has done week 5 recently have any advice?

Thankyou!

Ooooh woah! Calm down a bit. One run at a time.

You can do it! Just go nice and slowly to keep some puff in reserve to get you to the finish.

Just do the runs! Don't overthink it, just do it! Be single-minded about it and you will nail these final runs.

You are on week five already so you are well on your way. The programme is progressive, so if you did one run you can do the next. Just believe in the programme and yourself!

Have fun! 🏃‍♀️✔️👍

I felt the same way many times too. When I started this program, I did not think I would last, (my wife certainly didn't 😁) but the c25k program is well designed to progress you slowly and safely so it was daunting but manageable and somewhere along the line I started to enjoy it. I just finished the 30 min stage. As long as you are not hurting yourself then you are ok 👌 Have faith in yourself and best of luck!

Wow, that could have been my name at the top of your post, and I graduated a few weeks ago!

You've done brilliantly to get to W5 and you definitely can do run 3. Difficult I know but try not to think about the actual run. Put your running shoes on, earphones in and just do what you're told. In your next post you'll be telling us you smashed it.

Trust in the programme and keep it slow.

You CAN do it!

Thankyou everybody, I really enjoy it when I'm out there but just thinking about what's coming makes me worry 😂🙄. I need to have more confidence in myself. I start each run by telling myself I can do this and so far I have, just hoping there doesn't come a time when I can't as I would see that as a failure myself and then think stuff it I can't run! Although I am so determined to do this this time so hoping that isn't the case 😁

I've just completed week 5 run 2 tonight and I can't believe I managed 8 mins TWICE! I too have been worrying about week 5 run 3, but as I drove away from the gym (I did tonight's on the treadmill) Im now confident that the 20min might actually be possible. The key for me has been to slow down, so long as I'm going faster than walking I'm happy, I can work on the speed later. Finishing each run gives me so much more confidence to take into the next run than running fast and 'failing' or 'practising!' Good luck
