This is my favourite place to sit on the farm and take in the view. I can also see my run route, along the wall, down the hill and up the other side. I am getting better at hills; I decided that this morning having completed Wk6 R2. I haven't posted in quite a few days as my friend who inspired me to sign up for race for life lost her battle 4 days ago. It was sudden and a shock for all her friends and family. So I made my promise this morning, sitting right here that I will complete C25K for you Anne. Despite the sadness I know she would have approved of me smiling from ear to ear at the end of run 2 this week because I still doubt myself every time before I head out to run and then I am all surprised when I realise I can do this.
Wk6 R 1 & 2 : This is my favourite place to sit... - Couch to 5K
Wk6 R 1 & 2
You are doing so well with the C25K I love reading your progress. Your friend would be proud Iโm sure.
You have the best incentive to carry on and graduate this programme.
Xx
Oh honey. Am so sorry to hear about your friend. Bet sheโs delighted at what youโve done...and what youโll do!! Despite the sadness, so glad youโve been able to keep going. Itโs a good release. And what a beautiful spot! Jealous of that view. Sending sympathy, gin and hugs. Xxx
Sorry for your loss, sure you'll do her proud ๐
Every time you run you get to think of your friend, its a bond forever. Keep on running, keep on loving, keep on succeeding
Big hugs,
Thank you, and I will keep on running
You still need to change your name to Determined lady runs xx
๐ I know I need a name change, truth is before I started this I felt old but having lost weight (still some to go!) and increased fitness Iโm not feeling the old bit anymore
I have had a name change since I last saw you on here
I have two zero in front of Jen 58 now , only because I had email issue and couldn't get back on here, but I have noticed my comments are still around
By the way you are doing great ๐
Ah so sorry to hear that. I was thinking about you this morning when I was running & was wondering how you were getting on. Sending love & hugs.
Sorry to hear about that. You could do a 5 or 10k sponsored race. Iโm doing them for cancer research too ๐
Well done on your fantastic progress though ๐๐ฝ
So sorry to hear about your friend. Take care x
Sorry to read about your friend
But well done for getting to where you are ๐โโ๏ธ
Oh wow.
Sometimes I see a post on here that makes me well up. I'm sad for the loss of your friend but moved that you've found inspiration amidst everything. You'll get (and deserve) a lot of virtual hugs from everyone who reads your post.
I'm sure your friend's rooting for you every step of the way. And so are we.
Sorry for the loss of your friend Anne.
Your post made me stop and take a minute to think.
A lovely tribute to your friend, a lovely view to remember her by.
Sorry to hear this, she will be with you all the way x
So sorry to hear your sad news. She will always be with you on your runs x
Thatโs a beautiful picture, what a lovely place to run.
Iโm so sorry for your loss but Iโm sure she is with you in spirit cheering you on to that race for life via the c25k xxx
What a bittersweet time for you. Very well done on completing both runs under an emotional time. But a huge push now to complete the C25k. Sending ๐ค hugs. We are on the same run now - mine tomorrow. Keep it up youโre doing brilliantly and in such a beautiful location. I do admire you running up hills!! ๐๐ผ
I'm learning to love the hills ..well actually its a love hate relationship. For me to keep running I had to conquer the hills because we live in a very hilly area. My next run is Sunday so let us know how you get on tomorrow x
I am so sorry to read your news, but you know your friend is with you on every run and she will be the one that will get you to the finish every time. Really well done on your runs this week. And yes change your name, your NOT old. Very best wishes Mairi.xx
What a wonderful view - no wonder you love it. ๐
I am so sorry to hear about your friend - big hug to you - but what a great inspiration she was & what a gift she gave you in your discovery of running. You are doing brilliantly and we are cheering you on. ๐
Elfie you are so right, I wouldnโt have found running if it wasnโt for her challenging me to race for life, she raised so much for cancer research with cake baking so I will take over but raise it through running
So sorry to hear about your friend. Sheโd have been so proud of you. Keep it up. (Iโm grounded. Gutted. Ligament injury. Went for Physio today. Two weeks and and I should be able to get going again albeit taking it easy). What a fabulous place you have for running - even more brownie points for running up hills!
So sorry for your loss.
What a beautiful safe haven for you and shared with your forever friend Ann.
You are both courageous and inspiritational. ๐ซ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐ซ
Thank you, itโs been a difficult few days but Iโm still running and suprise suprise it really works! I am sure I will be asking you for your great advice again soon enough. Hope all is well with you x
That's so sad. She sounds like an amazing person (a bit like yourself). You'll miss her but you'll always think of her on your runs won't you? Keep on keeping on. Week 7 has gotten off to a bad start for me as I have had a back spasm since Week7Run1. The run itself was fine but I need to strengthen my core muscles, I think. I'm taking a few days off and you'll have caught up with me by then. Hugs
Thank you so much for posting and congratulations on your just completed runs, so sorry to hear you have lost Anne. Good luck for your next run on Sunday. Big hugs from over here in Enzed.
So very sorry to read of your sad loss. I am pleased you have already found some smiles through running and pleased too to know that Anne would approve as well.
What a beautiful view - like the sad news about your friend, it gives a bit of perspective to our lives. You'll no doubt do her proud and finish C25K and then carry on running for the joy of it just because you can ๐
Thank you I have managed to finish week 6 this morning and I'm pleased i didn't just stop running, I could have earlier this week
Well done for getting out there. I know you'll feel better for it. Nothing like running for helping your sense of emotional balance and allowing you time to put the world to rights in your own head.
And congrats on completing wk6. Continuous running from here on ๐
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Carry on for her!
You can do this and are doing brilliant!
What a lovely view. What part of the world is that?
Onwards and upwards you should be proud of yourself!
Really sorry to hear this but great that Anne has brought you to running and is inspiring you to continue. Well done for carrying on and for sharing with us the experience x
Hope you got on ok with week 6 run 3 today. Iโm on the same run tomorrow. No more walking breaks ๐ฑ
I didn't end up doing it yesterday but Ive done it this morning! hope you managed it too
Woohoo! You are doing brilliantly! ๐
Ooh well done. How was it?
I havenโt gone yet as Iโve not long had breakfast. Iโm concerned itโs getting very hot out there now!
Ive just posted, I went out at 6.30 to beat the heat so be careful if you do. Even at that time of the morning I noticed I was very thirsty despite having a good drink of water before I set off.
so so pretty!!! Where is that!!!
