Still plugging away. Did w5R1 tonight. Got a stitch for first time ever but ploughed on. Dreading run two and I think run three looks a challenge too far

Well done on W5R1. I am not far ahead of you, completed W6R2 today. I was also daunted at the prospect of R5W3 and taking the advice on this site, slow and steady, trust the programme am happy to say that it went well. All the best for your next runs.

Just give up then. After all if you have never done something before it must be impossible.......right?

You want to run for thirty minutes, or you would not have started the process, so of course it is ramping up the demands, but why dread any run. Each one is taking you nearer to your target, so surely that is exciting, not dread inducing?

Maybe this will help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Relax, enjoy yourself and you will make better progress.

Hi

I have just done week 5 run 1 and am so pleased with myself for what I am achieving. I have listened to all the advice given and I’m sure a positive mindset is the key as I have managed all the runs so far. I’m apprehensive about the next run but the program is working for me so I am expecting to achieve the next run. Keep positive we set out on thisjourney for a reason. 😀

Very well done.

Plugging away is good.

Just one run at a time. One foot in front of the other. Slow and steady and slower if required.

You are heading towards the biggest smile in your life.

Believe it, the programme is preparing you,no dread, just belief and enjoyment.🌟🏃‍♀️🌟

Trust the programme. It works! And as for stitch it’s horrible but laura gives you good advice on the podcast which I still use. Good luck with the rest of week 5. It’s an exciting week.

I've also just done wk5rn1. I'm always anxious about the next ramp up but have always managed. For me so much of it is in my head and reading the posts on this forum is a huge boost to my confidence. While running I go through all the good advice and when i'm seriously tiring, i just go slower. You'll make it!
