week 5, run 1 done

Not my first time in C25k and I’ve found it fairly hard work so far. I know it’s mostly in my head but my legs are tired sometimes and getting older and creakier all the time.

Today was a lovely day for a run and it felt a bit easier, even though I’m apprehensive about the jump in the length of runs in week 5. I know! I’ve done it before and it’s really surprisingly easy to do but….

Looking forward to the longer runs though and to some better running weather.

Well done. It looks like a glorious morning. Try not to think about what's coming up but enjoy the run you are doing. Even if you have to repeat some runs it doesn't matter. You've done it before and you can do it again. Be kind to yourself and feel proud for getting out there.

Thank you and you are so right. I am proud I’m doing it and just taking it easy. Already repeated a couple of runs.

I'm another repeater - a serial one actually. Now on week 7. It's funny how week 5 takes us - I felt exactly the same as you. I was excited to be approaching that milestone run, but also had nagging self doubts even though I'd done the programme a few times before and had successfully done that run each time! Swat off the gremlins and go for it!!!!!

I like the title of serial repeater - fits me too! Good luck with it to you too

lovely photos! I’m only on week 3 and am worried about my achy knees already so I know what you mean! I too am feeling apprehensive about the jumps in times! I’ve done week 3, 5 or 6 times now as I was struggling! Well done too you for coming back to it!
