This was my best run yet. It was a bit cooler and it really made a difference. I have decided to approach each run with a sense of curiosity... How has my fitness improved? Has my cardio become easier? How does it feel to run for X-minutes? To take it all in my stride... All the runs went surprisingly well. I had more steam left at the end of all the runs so I jogged on a little longer after the second 5 minute run... just because I could.
Run 2
Another cool day. Ok, it was 25 degrees again, but with heavy cloud I wasn't running in full sun like all previous runs, and a beautiful breeze (read: storm force gale) was roaring up the harbour. I've dumped Laura for the moment in favour of Oldwheezer's suggestion of the Boot Camp app. Total game changer. I was half wishing I had a rifle to hold over my head as I shuffled around the park chanting after the drill instructor. Had such a great time with it and really enjoyed the running. So much so that I ran on for an extra three minutes after the second 5 minute run. Booyah! 8-minute run, Sir! πͺ
The run wasn't great. Was overly hot before I even left the apartment, was sweating just sitting in the study reading posts here online. Couldn't get my breath properly the whole time and just felt overheated. But finished all the runs. I accept there will be good days, and days that are not as good; it is what is it, Grasshopper. Some lessons learned about ensuring I'm cool before I leave home (doh, obvious huh?). Week 4 done and interested to see how I travel through week 5 πββοΈ

Thanks, Jell Absolutely shattered today, back to the couch and Legends. Lots of runners out this morning... if they can do it, i can too. Or something.
Awesome if you pull out the box set today, also. What you watching?
Brilliant Dee!! Well done you. I'd fall apart in that heat. And you kicked R1's sorry ass. Fab. Let us know how W5 goes and feel free to binge watch anything you like. You deserve it x
Thanks, Stephen! I am a total marine now. A weak and tired one, but a marine, nevertheless. That's what the drill instructor said, so I'll take it. Enjoy the rest of your week 4s
Nice one Dee! You did it against the odds! The heat and humidity sound unbearable. πIf it helps, I've heard that putting a pillow over someone's face is good for curing snoring.ππ΄π
Thank you Matt! It's pretty hot but if I want to run that's how it goes. Can't bear the idea of a treadmill but we'll see what happens once summer hits.
Lol, I had a cunning plan involving said pillow but have put it on the back burner for now. We'll see what happens come 3am...
In case you had not looked, next week is asymmetrical, in that each run is different lengths and intervals.
I don't see a problem with resting on the sofa if you have the time to do that...
Certainly nothing wrong with Legends. We enjoy the other DC series that they have as well. We also like the Marvel films, so we represent something of an oddity as far as the comic geeks are concerned: they seem to think you can only like one or the other.
Thanks, Rob! Yep I've downloaded all the podcast for next week and even listened to them today while cleaning the hoose. Go figure?! Yes there was lots of rest on the sofa this weekend, but really felt I needed it and rose this morning a lot better for it i think.
Oh, i didn't know there was a geek war about DC or Marvel! I'm with you and really enjoy both. Arrow is kinda going off the rails for me a bit this season. Loving Legends though at the moment - I'd put off watching it for ages so lucky me has seasons of it to get through now.
