Where is my mojo?

I'm due to do W7R3 today after 2rest days - and something is stopping me from doing it! I'm finding W7 really difficult - knee down feels so heavy. And it can't be defined as jogging the way I do it! I'm about 3stone overweight (5'2"") and my head is telling me I'm too heavy to be carrying this lump around. Ugh. Hopefully just writing this will push me because I know deep down I have to do this!

It's those gremlins of change, they see a weak point and they think they can make you lose faith and give up. If you really need a rest, have another day but if not then close your mind to those pesky little devils and get out there๐Ÿ‘

Speed is really not important, completing each session is ๐Ÿ˜

Yes, you do... pick up the shoes... that is where the mo jos often hide. Now.. warm up well and head out.. steady and slow, relax int the longer run and just go gently. No pressure, just do it.

Are you linking this plan with a healthy eating regime...?

Take a peek at the Michael Mosley, ( Trust me I am a Dr) Eight week plan... low carbs but a great set of ideas for healthy eating.. and you can tweak it to suit yourself..his wife has done a recipe book to go along with it too. It is pretty good for shifting the excess weight:)

So out you go and get this run done.... I shall watch for your report... you can do this :)

No more excuses. As you say- you have to do this. No option. I always have a million reasons not to go running and only one reason to go- I have to.

You are training your mind as well as your body, so now is the time for a little self discipline. This is what will keep you going beyond graduation :)

So put your gear on and head out.

Hi there - I know you can do it! Youโ€™ve done amazingly so far! You can run for 25 minutes!!!! Whoโ€™d have thought that 2 months ago! It definitely is a mind over matter (well, body) thing - the sun is shining - the birds are singing - get your shoes on and go - I guarantee you will feel sooooo good afterwards. Iโ€™m sending you some love and positivity ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ

WildflowerJo Hidden Oldfloss GoGo_JoJo Thank you!!! I just did it ๐Ÿ˜ฌ And I know that I wouldn't have done without that positively firm shove ๐Ÿ˜Š It was more enjoyable -I changed a few things: pre run dynamic stretches, reverted back to my other trainers, ran on a more even ground and ran with shorter but slightly quicker flat footed steps ๐Ÿค” I don't know if it was a combo or the fact I had an extra rest day but it felt much easier fairly early on into the run! For the first time I can say I found my stride ๐Ÿ™Œ Thank you again!! Enjoy your day X

Thanks TailChaser I felt so negative about it when I woke up, and I'm usually glass half full - felt fat, old and like a bit of a joke puffing my way around the field! We can be so mean to ourselves!! But I did it and loved it!! Thanks for your ongoing support ๐Ÿ˜Š X

I think weโ€™ve all been there Flaraflarkin and I know exactly where youโ€™re coming from. Youโ€™re allowed the odd bad day but not on a beautiful day like this ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ˜ xx

Well done for overcoming this; I think everyone has this loss of mojo at some point. Itโ€™s how you handle it that makes the difference. You should be proud and remotivated that you managed to still get that run done with no mojo.

Keep fit. Stay well

Iโ€™m so pleased you managed to conquer your doubts! Well done ! I can certainly relate to that feeling and kept putting off my last run. Such a relief to be one step closer to graduating but wonder if Iโ€™ll be able to keep myself motivated post C25K? I think the trick will be to think back to how Iโ€™ve felt each time Iโ€™ve done a run. And hell, if Iโ€™m not running Iโ€™d only be cooking someoneโ€™s tea, loafing the washing machine or flopping in front of the telly watching pap and feeling fat, frumpy and 50! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Well done! I did my w7r3 today also! Wasnโ€™t it beautiful?? I bought myself some shorts yesterday and boy was I glad! And I went somewhere different, running over a motorway bridge - that was hard but I did it! And finally I managed to get back to my usual pace! Great run! Glad you did it - you have changed your life for the better and itโ€™s only going to make your life better so keep going - itโ€™s going to start making a difference to our shape soon - slimmer, firmer!! We can do it!
