To run or not to run?

I have 1 run left to do until I finally graduate but I’ve been coughing all day to day and can feel that my chest isn’t quite right. I am asthmatic and have increased my inhalers but no effect yet. I am desperate to graduate but want to end on a high rather than struggle through. What should I do?? 🤔☹️😱

Wait.... the run will still be there... we will polish the badge again and be waiting until you are feeling better.

When your chest has settled... you will enjoy this far more...get your meds checked and make sure your chest is clear before running;) The champagne can go on ice... I promise not to drink it:)

Thank you Oldfloss. I had a good run on Saturday and was looking forward to finishing the plan so I’m feeling sorry for myself now! Your response made me feel better about putting it off. I will be sensible and wait until it clears. Sometimes needs oral steroids so will go to gp if not feeling better in a few days. X

Give it a day or so. Your body will tell you when it’s ready

Hey Sarah65. I did my penultimate run on Saturday but wanted to make my graduate run somewhere special so have been hanging around a little.

Look after yourself and I hope you’re feeling better soon. X

Thank you 😊 I want a special last run too - it’s been such an amazing journey and I feel quite emotional just thinking about it ending. I hope I see all your names on the other side (bridge to 10k?) xx

Gosh I feel emotional too. I’ve loved it all... even the ‘Will this hell ever end?’ times as the high after completing each section has been brilliant! 😪

The end is just the beginning! There's lots of running ahead of you and we'll all still be here 😊. Enjoy your graduation run when you get there.

Thanks Deb. You all being there has been a big part of this amazing experience. Couldn’t have got this far without the support of this fantastic forum x

Just press pause until you are well enough to press play.

I understand the desire to complete on schedule ( your schedule) but it won't feel as fabulous if you feel crap.

Listen to your body, a few days recovery will do you good.

Then you can leap up and grab that badge 🤩🤩
