Week 3 run 1

I ran in all out rain tonight. It just got heavier and heavier. But I'm not doing excuses. I gave myself a hard word and dragged myself out the door. My Fitbit tracked my progress, and even with the longer runs (I expected to be super slow!!) my average pace was faster than week 2!

I found the first 3 minute run a bit of a shock - it felt long! That said, the second 3 minute run felt great. So much so that after the chirpy 1 minute to go encouragement I actually upped my pace!!

I'll be surprised if I'm not sore tomorrow. Need to get into a habit of stretching regularly now too.

Looking forward to run 2 on Tuesday!

I can't believe I'm actually enjoying this!

Well done for getting yourself out there and as Oldfloss says wet is wet but it sounds as though you actually enjoyed it

Stretch after your run - not before

Stretching is essential... Dynamic stretching if before.. and lots afterwards..:)

Just keep it slow and steady and enjoy the runs... they should be fun... :) Well done you!
