Week five done and “hi”

Hi all, a newbie to the forum

My wife and I have just completed week five. Daunted running 20 minutes today but we did it!

20 minutes seemed such a jump from eight minutes but I’m sure it’s all been thought through!

Really pleased at feeling fitter when i play football now and the belt has gone in another notch. Aim now is to do our first park run

That’s brilliant. Must be nice running in a pair! Well done 👍 I’m only just behind you on W4R3 tomorrow. I only joined the forum yesterday but find it encouraging and inspiring.

Well done and welcome.

Twenty minutes of W5R3 is actually a minute shorter than the sixteen minutes plus five minutes brisk walking that you did on the previous workout.

Enjoy your journey.

I finished week 5 on Friday - was so fretful that morning, but I did it. Isn’t it the most amazing feeling? Here’s to week 6!

It sure is an amazing feeling. Feels like a watershed.

Good luck with week 6!

I'm finding these comments encouraging. I'm on week 3, will be doing the final run of the week tomorrow. I've managed the 2 x 3 minutes in the first 2 runs this week, however I can't see how I'll cope with it ramping up to 8 and then 20 minutes in just a couple more weeks?!

I'm trusting the programme as it hasn't let me down so far and reading these posts has given me a little more confidence that it may be do-able after all.

Well done to everyone. :-)

Trust me we were in exactly the same boat! But , we have trusted it and although the jump to 20 did seem daunting, it was achievable!,
