Week 2 done, feeling good 😄

Well it rained all night and all day, my run was once again a boggy slippery mess.

I really didn’t want to go out, but my virtual running buddy sent me a nice message saying something like Go...

It rained all the time I was running, my shoes socks etc are now completely water logged, in fact I had to remove my shoes and socks before I dared enter the house. Mrs Sensible wouldn’t have been happy with a mud trail through the house.

So the day was a disaster but I enjoyed the run and the fantastic feeling of completing week 2

Roll on week 3 and hopefully with a little less mud

PN (drinking wine and enjoying the rain in Italy)

I agree with Floss, you will have skin as soft as an Italian baby's bottom before you hit week four if the weather keeps up :) Well done for getting out there, doesn't it feel good to tick 'em all off? Two weeks already, woot woot!

I second that woot woot, well done!! Keep at it, you’ll be laughing when it gets sunny over there and us lot are in the mud mid June. These islands are not exactly renowned for their excellent weather! That wine is well deserved, have another ;)

Hello my virtual running buddy, thanks for the encouragement.

The lady down the lane has always thought this Englishman was a bit strange, but I confirmed her suspicions when I went squelching past her garden gate covered in mud and smiling despite the rain. 🤣

😆 Great, it’s good to live up to expectations, haha! She must think it’s a weird English thing to love the mud as much as you do!
