Hi everyone π Iβve been a silent lurker on this amazing forum for the past 9 weeks, reading in awe the many inspirational posts, yet despite following the programme I could not bring myself to actually believe that I would make it to the end and actually graduate like so many so you that I have read about over these weeks.
Yet today ..... I DID IT!!....I ran for 30 minutes continuously on a lovely mild spring morning with the dulcet voice of Micheal Johnson spurring me on π
I literally cannot stop smiling and I am so thrilled and proud of myself π I feel like a different woman with a new can do attitude and a revived zest for life. Mentally this programme has been so restorative and has helped me so much along with an amazing counsellor on the road to recovery with my PTSD as one of the emergency response team on the night the Manchester Arena attack.
So I thought today was the day that I should finally pluck up the courage to say hello π share my graduation news and say thank you to the group that have helped me without even knowing that they were! π
Thank you all and happy running πββοΈ

This program does so much more for us than just get us running, ( it does that of course too!π) but it helps with self-esteem and confidence and its good to hear that it has been helping you recover from the trauma of being a first responder at the Manchester Arena attack...
Congratulations on completing the program and Graduating. I hope you will continue running with us, and enjoying the many health benefits.
Whoop whoop, go you - you're a runner now!! Congratulations! Enjoy your moment on the podium!
On a more serious note, running for stress relief / mental health is unbelievably effective and I am really glad you can already feel it helping you. Hope it continues to help you with your recovery and we all look forward to hearing more from you on your running journey.
So hello π, welcome, happy running π, and lastly thank you for all I know you will have done in Manchester. People like you keep the world going round. β€β€
Well done on completing the programme and taking positive action to leave behind such an awful experience.
Things like this help us massively to feel in control of our lives and futures. Taking control again is so important to feeling able to cope day to day.
I hope your running gives you the space and mindset to beat your gremlins.
Congratulations and this sounds like. graduation well deserved in more ways than just the running of it. Mj (Mr Smooth was my favourite too) I always thought with an Olympian in my ear, that I couldnβt let him down. Well youβre an Olympian too, being a first responder is such a big responsibility. So congratulations. well done and enjoy the graduate bling and that view from the podium,
