I can’t believe I actually did it. I woke up this morning feeling lazy and it took a lot of encouragement from my friends for me to stay on track and complete couch to 5K as planned today, so I pulled on my trainers, grabbed a sweatshirt and my headphones and headed to the track for my last run of C25K.
I decided I would push myself a little today, so lining up a special graduation run playlist I pressed play and started. I managed to maintain an average pace of about 8 minutes/km rather than my usual pace of about 9 mins/km and I actually hit 5km just as Sarah began to sign off.
I can’t believe how good it felt and how far I’ve come. Only 2 months ago I was struggling with to jog for 90 seconds and today I properly ran for 30 minutes! Never in my life did I think I would be able to do that. I’m officially at the fittest I have ever been and can’t wait to become even fitter.
I want to thank you all for your advice, support and encouragement. I don’t think I would have made it through the programme without this forum. In fact, I doubted, when I started this that I would make it past week 2!
I’m so so so happy and looking forward to continuing my running journey. To anyone considering starting the programme; it doesn’t matter how unfit you are, if you’ve never run before or any other reason- just pull in some trainers, line up a fun playlist and get started, even if people are walking faster than your run (like me for the first few weeks).
Sappy post over,
Love,

Fantastic, huge congratulations from me. And you are one of the small minority who complete c25k actually running 5k, so brilliantly well done x
