Injured in W9

Arghhhh! Only two runs left and I don’t seem to be able to get out of the door without injuring myself one way or another. First on arriving on holiday I tripped over my daughter’s suitcase on the plane and flew flat on my face in the aisle. Did W9R1 over a week ago and have had a sharp pain on the side of my calf since. So no running since and plenty of icing it to no avail. To top it all on Wednesday, I twisted my ankle on an uneven pavement (this one got sorted quickly with lots of icing and rest). This is so frustrated. I so want to run but know it would be foolish to even try a short one but I am climbing the walls here. Will see a doctor / Physio when I get back home but I am 10,000 KM from home.

I guess you had plans to graduate whilst you were on holiday , enjoy your holiday and do the programme when you get home , another couple of weeks won't hurt you

Maybe the accident happened for a reason 🤔

Oh dear, how frustrating. Hopefully you’ll be better soon and can run again.

The priority is the holiday! Have a great time and enjoy it. You'll have plenty of time to run when you're back home and fit again. Good luck.

Keep the faith, Samarie, you will stand on that podium and wear that bling! I had an injury at W8r2, took three weeks off, went back to W5r3, then got to W9r1 before the Beast from the East stymied me for another week! I felt like I’d never finish. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, you are so close! Enjoy your holiday and then go for it. 🏃🏼‍♀️👍🏻
