Was hard but I did it! My legs hurt at the end but I'm ok now!
Definitely dreading the next run!! I find myself checking the time a lot when running not that it will make it go any quicker. But I can do it!! (I hope!)

Congratulations to you Fitness2025 on completing run 2 of week 5, sorry about your legs hurting, however, the pain shouldn't last too long, you don't need to dread the next run, if you wish you can take a extra day off running, when you do run that 20 minute run of week 5 take it especially slow and steady, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself, good luck. ✔️
You certainly can! Take it slow and I bet you’ll be fine! Even better! You’ll be victorious! You got this!
blooming brilliant well done you sending you my lost kilometres from Buenos Aires - hope they help out👍
Checking the time a lot is inevitable, almost a habit from the early short runs , I suspect. I try to set time check targets as in instructing self to not look at the watch again until the big oak tree.
If your legs hurt during the run make sure you are keeping it slow right from the start. Also, if not already, get into stretching after your cool down walk. Do allow yourself an extra active rest day before running again if you sense your legs need it.
Don’t dread the 3rd run, it’s a landmark in the programme but you should find yourself ready for it and the flow of keeping going, rather than walking and restarting, is an enjoyable feeling.
Wishing you a great 5:3 run.
That's amazing! Pushing through a tough run is never easy, but you did it! The soreness is a sign that your body is getting stronger. If you're dreading the next run, maybe try some light stretching or a bit of recovery support. I've heard cambiati.com/product/lysine... has anti-inflammatory properties that might help with muscle soreness. Keep going, and soon, you'll be checking the time just to see how much you've improved!
Don't dread the next one. I've done it today and it is not the great leap forward it sounds like. A mere four additional minutes. You briskly walked it, now you just step it up a little. Easy. Keep your head strong.
Maybe try the approach suggested in my reply in this thread: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Nothing to fear.. you are absolutely ready for each and every run... steady as you go!
