Done! My son 'dumped' me for playing fortnight with his wee friend, but i did it myself. My son is planning on doing his tomorrow (I'll walk with him) and we will both go out on Saturday or Sunday. Quite proud of myself that I didn't pass up on going out - busy day, husband off work etc...

My kids started with me. Now they leave me to it or cycle alongside. I am pleased with myself that I have more stamina than them!

I'm sure that he can (currently) out run me easily. I do want him to do it with me - his football team coach is trying to get all of the boys to do interval walk / jog / sprints to boost their fitness.

The idea of biking is really good - my daughter could do that when she gets the cast off her leg.

I have just started on week 1 and can assure you after cycling for the last 40 years, starting to run is quite different, good luck to you.

I've read it :-) It's thanks to this info and reading the posts here that I have done both days so far. If I hadn't read the info, I would have tried to run and maybe made around 30 seconds! Instead, I jogged (very, very slowly) but I did it for all 8 x 60 second intervals.
