Week 1 Run 2 Close Encounter

Ventured to the park for my second run after the first one was such a failure. Pouring down with rain but I did it anyway, every other run which I found quite easy so I am hugely encouraged to keep going.

There I was happily trundling about in the puddles in the wooded area at the back of the park feeling quite pleased with myself when out of nowhere I suddenly came face to face with a deer! Not sure who was more surprised, i'm quite lucky she saw me first & stopped as she was very close to running straight out of the trees & into me. We stared at other for a few seconds & she was away. Was a really lovely experience & that is now definitely my route & I actually look forward to doing Friday's run :-)

How exciting, you wouldn't have had that experience without C25K. You sound so much more positive today I'm sure tomorrow's run will be even better.

What a lovely encounter! I once saw two deer run across my path just in front of me and I just stood and stared at them as they were so beautiful. I hope you see her on all your runs 😊

Oh dear... ( see what I did there :) ) ?

How exciting.. I have seen lots of wildlife on my runs but no deer..lucky you, and you were out there running and saw it!!! Brilliant!

You need to make her your totem animal.. to bring you good fortune all the way through your runs :)

Go you, slow, steady and watch out for her again! :)

That's great idea, I did think of it as a good omen. We certainly had a moment when we looked into each others eyes ;-)

What a lovely sight! Well worth a run there to see the deer again.
