Glad to report that my second run is in the bag. I’m worried about how difficult it’s feeling to do the W1 runs and trying not to think about it too much so it doesn’t put me off pushing on.

I’ve made myself accountable to a few people beyond the wonderful community on this site in an attempt to keep going, and found this inspirational quote on the Zenlabs C25k FB site, which gave me a boost and a much needed proverbial kick up the backside!

When is the ☀️ coming back??

Well done for getting your run in! You’ll get there and it will get easier again!

Having actual sun would make everything so much better!

You’re back, yay!

I was wondering if you’re still running and still on the site, it’s great to hear from you. Thank you so much for your support 🙂

I’m still here, not been on much but still read the odd post. Been too lazy to run lately so will have to get my finger out and do it, got into road cycling last year and it took over for a bit but feeling the need to take a leaf out of your book and get the running shoes back out! Good to see you back again anyway!

It will come back with your positivity in your runs:) Just keep it slow and steady and relax as you go... another favourite quote of mine..

" Some days you have to make your own sunshine... " ..and you are making it:)

Well done, but no need to worry, you can only fail this programme if you go back to the couch permanently.

Have a browse through these posts healthunlocked.com/couchto5... for advice on lots of C25k issues.

Thank you! I’ve actually graduated once, which really helps because I know I can do it. I’m carrying more weight this time though and so being mindful not to expect too much. I know I just need to keep going, literally step by step. I’ve just put my three weekly runs into my diary so I have an appointment with myself each time - which should help with the time management bit...

Thanks Chrisel- R3 will be Friday morning. I’ve put the runs in my diary for Mon, Wed and Fri to establish a routine and will stick to this as best I can. There may be some days I need to swap around, but I’m planning that they will be the exception....

Good luck for tomorrow, I’ll look out for your post...! 🙂

You could always do week 1 again if you don’t think you are ready for week 2 :)

I am on week 2 and it has taken it out of me a little (I think being tired from having a new born and not drinking enough in the last few days have factored into that) however I have finished both runs so far!

Hi thanks yes, although I’ll never get past W1 if I wait till I feel ready, it’s more psychological with me at this stage! When I did this last time, through to graduation, I just ploughed on and didn’t repeat any of the sessions, so that’s my target - I’m hoping to lose some weight along the way - which should help.

It sounds like you’re doing great to be getting through the runs with a baby to manage as well, you must be shattered!

I am planning that too, just power through. I got to the end of 3 weeks a few years back and was amazed I could run 3 minutes 😂

I am hoping to lose some eight too or at least tone up somewhat.

Good luck!!

I know! 3 minuted feels like nothing - until you’re running!! Same to you on the good luck front, it really helps to have the support on here doesn’t it?
