Run two week eight - wading through treacle

Second run of week eight done - but it felt hard - fighting gremlins up until five minutes to go when with the end in sight i managed to up the pace. I think I am guilty of thinking it should get easier each time - however - hoping for a good third run and then on to week nine. I think that if I squint I can just about see the twinkly fairy lights that line the final approach to the podium - fingers crossed...

Yep.. that is the twinkling lights of success:) Take it steady and slow.. :)

We have had it all on here..concrete legs... wading through treacle, jelly, sludge...( oh no, that was me yesterday... and it was sludge :))

We do have runs like this sometimes.. and are not always sure why... but you did it.. you squished the gremlins and you made it :)

Thanks - this forum is so supportive even for 'lurkers' like me - it really makes a difference.

Twinkly fairy lights what a wonderful thought and frankly it feels close to Christmas weather wise anyway. But you did a great job trawling through - it’s never easy as each time it’s a little more effort whether it’s distance or just consolidating the last distance. So this is the gritting teeth time, but with the fairy lights in sight, you’ll be fine I’m sure.

Happy running on the way to that twinkly podium

Well done, Caroline. It is hard, isn't it? But doesn't it feel great when you've done it!

Good luck and happy running.

I'm pretty sure week 8 was the toughest. Almost there, yet not quite. It does get easier, sometimes, but it can also still be tough if you're tired or not well hydrated.

You're sticking with it though and you're doing great πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ😁
