Wk7 R3...found it tougher today!

After a fab R2 on Tuesday I was excited to be out there again completing Wk7. The sun was shining and the warmest temperature to date since Iโ€™ve started C25K, a barmy 11degrees ๐Ÿ˜€

The first 5mins I felt great but by the half way point I was starting to struggle and those demons were at me today ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I gave myself a good talking to and slowed down, got my breathing back under control and settled back into a more gentle 2nd half of the run.

I think this was a bit of a wake up call to remind myself Iโ€™m still a very new runner and to start every run slow and steady. I finished the full 25mins and did give it a little push for the final 60 seconds ๐Ÿ˜‰ Maybe a good lesson learnt run before Wk8!

The best bit is you dealt with it on the hoof, you didn't let the mental gremlins stop you, you completed your run your way ๐Ÿ‘

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š it did throw me at first then I thought slow down and letโ€™s get this done! I think because it was the 4th 25min run I thought I would be fine....a little be too excited at the beginning I think ๐Ÿคฃ

Very well done for the run and your wise analysis of what happened. No whippets allowed at the start for now!๐Ÿ˜ƒ you can train to be an Olympic sprinter later if you want to! ๐Ÿ˜„

You have got the idea... slow and steady is the way..these lovely longer runs are made for relaxing into.... let the legs find their happy pace and don't push too hard:)

I think the excitement of getting back out there got the better of me ๐Ÿ˜Š definitely a lesson learnt and Iโ€™ll set off slower on my next run ๐Ÿ˜Š
