Hello, my name is Tony and I've just completed day one of the couch to 5k programme. I didn't realise how unfit I was until this evening but I really enjoyed it.

Good for you, Tony.

Nice and slow and it will get easier. Your heart, lung efficiency and leg muscles will improve rapidly if you ask them to.

Well done - and as you progress you will look back on today's run as a marker of how far you have come - honest! Good luck.

Welcome aboard Tony. You'll be fitter after every session. You'll look back in the following weeks at that first run and be amazed at how the programme changes you! Take it slow and easy (and post to let us know how you're doing) Good luck with run 2 :)
