Voila: dust, cobwebs and all I didn't stand on a chair so this was the phone at full stretch so please excuse the blurriness. Actually, I am going to declare that a plaster irregularity rather than a cobweb

Thanks very much Annie, got it! Had to force the wedge thing a bit but as long as the ceiling holds up all is good. Took me a while to take my whole weight off my feet 😮 I'm not good at trust in inanimate objects. When I went inside one of the Pyramids years ago I was the only one in the party who had to get out as I thought they were going to fall down on me 😩

Yay, well done! My house is in two halves: one is the older part, built by the council 70+ years ago. The second bit was added by a builder when he bought it. He is known in our family as 'muppet-features'. I made sure to fix the bar to a door in the older part of the house

Haha! I noticed as I was hanging that there was a crack in the ceiling. Couldn't remember if it was there before. And cobwebs 😕
