I used to run years ago and I want to get back to running outdoors in the fresh air, and not on a treadmill. I will need lots of motivation and your knowledge if you want to share. I enjoyed my first run this morning, I will be resting tomorrow, but may go for a swim. I want to take time for me as I spend a lot of my time looking after others.
Thank you to all my responses and motivation this morning after my run, and I look forward to your advise.
Bye for now 😊

So Outdoors, you got out and ran this morning fuelled by coffee and motivation! The great thing about running outside is you never know what you are going to get... the downside is exactly the same.
All of my running is outside, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. But it’s horses for courses, some of us start out a little embarrassed and so being outside can be quite hard to do.
But give it a go, the only thing I’d say is to dress for the weather. There’s nothing worse than being over or underdressed for the weather. Last week I was in sunny Spain and ended up doing an impromptu strip on the beach to get too many layers off... I have a feeling when I run tomorrow I may be in need of those layers...
But the main thing is to be happy where you choose to run, if you’re a bit frightened of being seen, then try somewhere quiet. If you’re worried about not being seen, then run in your neighbourhood. But if you don’t feel comfortable where you are, then for sure you won’t run well.
Only you have an idea of your running recipe, we all have our own. Have fun discovering what kind of runner you are.
