After competing the last two weeks I normally take a two day rest after run 3. This week I haven’t been able to take the extra day. To be honest I was kind of dreading the 3 min run. Depending on weather I have a couple of run routes I take so thought as I have a 3 min run I would take the easy option and go on my football pitch run as it more or less flat where my road run has more ups and downs then a yo-yo. Anyway of I went and after my 1st 3 min run I felt fine then came the 90sec run and to be honest I felt annoyed when it told me to stop running 😂 but I stuck to what I was told and completed the run. I think I’m going to have to invest in some proper running shoes this week as I’ve notticed the bottom of my feet are starting to hurt when running for longer times. I’m only 2 weeks from when I have up last time but I am going to succeed this time as I have more will power and running makes me feel good. Now I just need to plan where my wk5 run 3 will be (beach more then likely as it’s probably the flattest place to run around where I live. Any way thanks for reading and good luck with your journey on the c25k Doug

Hey biggydoug the shoes are the thing. If you’re getting sore feet then absolutely get yourself down to a shop and get yourself some good shoes. Get gait tested as that makes a difference if you over or under pronate. As my superfit mate always tells me - your feet are your running foundation, so get them the right tools and your running will be just that little bit easier.

Well done on getting this far in the programme its a nice sign when you are annoyed when you are told to stop running and want to continue.

Have a great W5 and happy running
