Couch to 5K completed!

Ran the final of the 3 x runs for Week 9 tbis morning. Confess that I've slightly pushed the boundaries over the last 2 weeks by adding 5 mins each time. I've maintained a regular pace and steady breathing and respected the recovery days in between. The plan is to repeat Week 9 for the next few weeks-maybe adding 5 mins each time.Still on the gym treadmill and don't feel inclined to run outside due the inclement weather here: -5/ snow). I want to be confident of being able to complete the 5K distance before venturing outside. I am locked into the Couch to 10K Forum and am entered on a 5K Charity Run for 22.04.18. Is there a separate podcast app for the Vouch to 10K?

Well done! I also completed C2 5K today, weather was awful (not -5 though 😬) I ran extra and managed 5k, it felt amazing 😉 Hoping this will continue, again well done !!! 🥂🍾🏆x

Congratulations on completing the program...😊

Your plan to consolidate for a few weeks is a good idea. Don't feel that not adding any minutes on sometimes is standing still though, you are still building stamina.

There is lots of advice on the Bridge site about progressing to 10k when you are ready.

Celebrate your Graduation and go get your badge😊...

Well done. Will be interesting to know how you like running outside after pure treadmill!

Thanks. Yes, running outside will be an interesting prospect. I have already scouted some possible (contrasting) routes locally.

Huge congratulations, it’s a great feeling huh? 👍👏👏👏

I think you’ll find running outside a whole lot easier than the awful treadmill. I ran the whole programme outside and now do the weekly Parkrun. But this week on holiday I’ve kinda been forced to the treadmill/dreadmill as I have nowhere to safely run outside alone...it’s soooo much harder; on everything. I was eating the 5kms outside but not on the treadmill - I can barely do 4!!!😱 And my knee - ouch, big ouch!!!
