Week 9 run 1

Well I got week 8 all finished up. Decided to drive from Dallas to my mountain property in Arkansas to initiate week nine. I figured all the flatland around Dallas was not nearly as much fun as doing something stupid like running in the mountains. Of course the day before I spent it dragging 100 kilo logs with a rope across the mountain to build a log cabin for my grandkids. Then drank a bottle of red wine. Made waking up fun. Then I went to the bigger mountains 20 miles north and did my run. What a beautiful painful morning. I never would have believed I could run for 30 minutes after doing something so stupid the day before and enjoy it. I guess the Endo cannaboids got me too. I’m hooked. I can’t wait for the next one.

Wow... a Mountain Man...how fabulous...I love the photograph!

Very well done..you are getting so close now and after that extra exercise... really doing wonderfully !

Wow Monsieur Cuisses de Grenouilles, a mountain run with a hangover and achy muscles from cabin building. You are a god! Only two more runs to the podium!!! I am well impressed...and I moan about my hills (they are pimples compared with your mountains) x

I was definitely slower than my normal slow. The first 15 minutes were pretty rough . It was a great morning though. Next time I’ll leave a car at the bottom and run downhill. I may leave the wine in the car until after too. Absolutely prefer running in the woods to the pavement in town though.

It really was the perfect day. I’m heading back up there to put the second half of the walls up and do another run next weekend. Really beautiful woods up around there.
