After my week off I returned to a long day of work today, catching up on emails and I was looking forward to logging off and getting outside for a bit once Iβd finished for the day.
I deliberately set off slowly and managed to maintain a comfortable pace, this was my most evenly paced run to date (I usually slow down a lot in the last five minutes and my pacing can be a bit all over the place). I was amazed that I didnβt get any leg aches, didnβt feel tired and my breathing was pretty good - I even managed to speed up in the last few minutes. I think this must have been my gazelle run as StoneDragon wrote about last week! I didnβt reach 5k but am happy with my first 30 min run βΊοΈπ¦
By the time I finished my warm down walk it was getting dark so home, stretches, warm shower and sausage & mash for dinner it is!
Good luck to everyone starting a new week of runs, weβve got this!! ππΌββοΈππΌ

In order of importance what a brilliant Autumnal meal sausage n mash π ( culinary tip..... Don't eat it in the shower your potatoes will get soggy π) and well done on that pacing, it's brilliant when all the factors of your Running start to come together it's a wonderful thing π
Haha yes definitely donβt want soggy potatoes π ! Yay Iβm so pleased itβs all finally coming together as I remember finding week 7 very challenging and was worried Iβd really struggle!!
Fantastic π¦π¦π¦π¦ gazelle running LR, you smashed it π Sounds like your planets aligned and you really enjoyed it. Who could ask any more? π
Iβve taken an extra rest day as my ankles stiffened up over the weekend. Fingers π€crossed Iβll be out tomorrow.
