Well it started off not very well. Freezing rain and wind. I thought my face was going to drop off and then the C25K had stopped whilst i was in run mode so im thinking come on Jo this has got to be longer than 90 secs and yes when i checked she was gone lol. Started it again and after second burst of running i felt so much better. Maybe i can do week three after all but i have realised that just one day inbetween my runs is not working for me as this time i left 2 days and i felt so much better. So it may take me longer but hey i will get there

If you look back at the posts over the last few months you will see that lots of people have had to leave quite gaps between runs due to colds or Christmas and come back fine. I always took the weekends off before starting the next week and I think that maybe giving your body an extra day to complete the upgrades is no bad thing.

You will of course get there and this terrible weather can't last, so the later runs will seem like a breeze in comparison to what you did today.

Well done.

Just remember, you are in control. If you need extra rest days, fine. There is no rush. Slow and steady is actually the best and safest way for your body to develop.

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Keep us posted.

Apart from this week when I’m off work, I always have 3 or four rest days in between due to time commitments and me liking to run first thing. And it suits me really well. I’m always looking forward to the next run.

Happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
