Well, 3 runs to go now. I've definitely settled into this at this stage, the best thing about it is I've finally learnt to enjoy it and not wonder when I can stop with every passing minute!
I guess today is like the curate's egg, good in parts. (Does anyone else remember that expression?) Well actually, the only not good bit is that I'm no faster...still averaging 10 minutes a kilometre, which is pretty damn slow, let's be honest here!
But the good news, and the reason I'm feeling pretty good right now, is that my aim today was not to go faster, but to go longer...and I did. I ran for 40 minutes and covered just over 4k. All of it felt very comfortable. One day, maybe, I'll try to go faster, but not yet because I'm very, very happy with what's happening at the moment. I ran further and longer than I ever thought possible today, and I'm really looking forward to W9!
Happy running all...off to the hot tub/cool tub after a well earned coffee. π

Brilliant, well done you! ππππ I like the description βcurateβs eggβ π
Hopefully, most of it was good! π
It seems like you are exactly where you should be. And 4K as well! πππ
And of course itβs not about pace, anyway, Iβm only just beginning to realise that π You are running at your own pace, which is exactly what you should be doing. Itβs great that you are enjoying it! You are amazing π x
Yes, they are π Mixing up the runs. Iβve taken a second rest day because of the heat, but Iβll probably run tomorrow and do a shorter, faster run. Maybe 2 or 3K. Saturday another long, very slow run, maybe an hour. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ
Me too - but as I read often here - that's what we should be doing! Today I did W8R1 and extended the recovery walk to get to 5k so it took me 44 mins. But I did that 28 mins running no problem. We've got this!
Amazing work πͺ Youβve definitely found the right mind set ahead of your graduation week - slower for longer! Looking forward to calling you GRADUATE π in three runs πββοΈ
